Welcome to Sidemount Academy

Your diving adventure starts at Sidemount Academy! We offer a wide range of courses through the internationally recognised dive agency Dive RAID, an RSTC and ISO recognised organisation. RAID certifications are accepted internationally, allowing you to dive around the world.

Whether you are taking your first steps as a diver or want to develop your recreational or technical diving skills, you are in the right place.

We work with you towards the level you want to achieve. Whether you want to learn to dive, earn an internationally recognised RAID certification, feel more comfortable underwater, refine your sidemount skills or move into technical and cave diving, we tailor your training to your goals.

For us, diving goes beyond the water’s edge. Alongside teaching, we are actively involved in exploration projects, cave diving and caving. We bring that passion for adventure into our courses, with a strong focus on safety, fundamental skills and respect for the environments we explore.

Your journey continues after your course. Sidemount Academy has a close community of former students who regularly train and dive together. This gives you opportunities to build experience with divers at a similar level, both in open water and in overhead environments such as caves and mines.

Our courses

You can follow the full recreational diving pathway with us, starting with your first certification, Open Water. We also offer technical diving courses, including deep diving and cave diving.

As our name suggests, we specialise in sidemount diving. You can also take all our courses in a backmount configuration, with the same attention to detail that we bring to sidemount training.
