The XDEEP Stealth 2.0 Classic set is a complete sidemount setup: independent harness, Classic BC and mounting kits. XDEEP designed the Classic primarily for cave diving, including very tight caves. Its modular build and streamlined double-shell wing also make it a good fit for open water, wreck and technical diving. Official product information: XDEEP Stealth Classic and specifications.

Classic versus Classic RB

  • Classic: single bladder, no redundant bladder.
  • Classic RB: fully independent redundant bladder with its own inflator as an extra buoyancy source, for example in wetsuit scenarios.

Key specifications (XDEEP)

  • Classic wing lift: about 16 kg
  • System weight Classic: about 2.4 kg; Classic RB: about 3.0 kg
  • Outer shell: Cordura 1100 dTEX
  • Up to 4 cylinders in a suitable configuration
  • Modular weight system with capacity up to 25 kg
  • Weight pockets: S (2×1.5 kg), M (4×1.5 kg), D (8×1.5 kg), W (4×2.5 kg)

Harness and wing

The independent harness lets you adjust shoulder and waist straps separately, so fit comes together faster without shifting waist D-ring positions. The Classic wing uses a double-shell construction and a centrally placed dump valve reachable with either hand. A five-point mounting system lets you tune wing position to your trim.

Modular weight system

Place weights where they support your center of gravity, including a central pocket with travel for balance. That helps you adapt trim to cylinder choice and exposure suit without needing a separate system for every dive type.

Which setup fits?

Choose Classic or Classic RB, color and pocket size based on your diving profile. A Classic BCD-only option exists if you only need the bladder/BCD; Rec and Tec sets cover other Stealth 2.0 profiles. At Sidemount Academy we help you clarify the right configuration.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I choose?

You don't need to pick a harness size: XDEEP makes it in one universal size with a wide adjustment range. You first set the height with the central strap, then fine-tune the shoulder straps, waist strap and crotch strap, so both smaller and larger divers get a good fit. We are happy to help with the first fitting.

Can I use steel and aluminium cylinders?

Yes. XDEEP approves the set for both steel and aluminium cylinders in sidemount configuration. At Sidemount Academy we mainly recommend the optional butt-plate for extra comfort for larger divers. It is also useful if you mostly dive steel, thanks to its large, easy-to-reach D-rings. The sliding waist D-rings let you position each cylinder according to its buoyancy.

How do I get my trim right?

XDEEP recommends a two-step approach. Start in shallow water with about 50 bar in each cylinder and an empty wing, and find the right spot for your weight: if you tip head-down, lower the central pocket or move the trim pockets toward your legs; if your legs sink, move the weight up. Then, with full cylinders, slide the wing toward your head or feet until you are horizontal. The wing is there to offset the changing weight of the gas, not to trim you. We practise this step by step in RAID Sidemount Fundamentals.

Is the set suitable for cold water and a drysuit?

Yes. XDEEP rates it for water temperatures from -2 °C to 40 °C. The weight system is designed to spread the extra lead a drysuit with thick undergarments requires, and the crotch strap is deliberately soft to reduce wear on your suit. Keep as little air in your drysuit as possible while you trim.

What comes in the box, and what is optional?

The box contains the harness with the central weight pocket fitted, the Classic wing, the wing mounting kit, a mounting kit for a primary light battery and the user manual. Droppable weight pockets and quick-release shoulder straps are optional, and thanks to the modular design you can add them later.

How do I look after the wing after a dive?

After every dive in salt or chlorinated water, rinse the wing inside and out with fresh water, never hot. To rinse the inside, let roughly a quarter fill of water in through the inflator's purge button, turn the wing over a few times and drain it; do not press the inflate button while doing this. Dry it inflated in an airy place out of the sun and never use detergents. Repairs belong with an authorized XDEEP service center.
