The XDEEP Stealth 2.0 TEC is a sidemount set that combines a TEC wing with 19 kg of lift, the STEALTH 2.0 harness and a central weight pocket. The wing is intended to carry multiple stages and decompression cylinders in addition to your main cylinders.

XDEEP designed the TEC wing to stay slim and close to the body despite the extra lift. You choose between the TEC with a single bladder and the TEC RB with a redundant second bladder.

Who is the Stealth 2.0 TEC for?

Choose the TEC if you dive technically or are deliberately working towards it: decompression dives with multiple stages, deeper dives on trimix, or drysuit dives where you need more lead and therefore more lift. According to XDEEP, the set is designed for deep decompression dives with multiple stages, but you can also use it for recreational dives or a single cylinder dive.

A solid sidemount foundation remains essential. The RAID Sidemount Fundamentals course teaches you to build and adjust your configuration correctly before you move on to technical diving. If you plan to dive in caves or in overhead wreck environments, the appropriate training is part of that step as well.

A wing with 19 kg of lift

For the TEC, XDEEP redesigned the wing to offer more lift while keeping it as streamlined as possible. With 19 kg of lift, the wing is intended for configurations with multiple cylinders and stages, and it is also suitable for steel cylinders. How much lift you actually need depends on your cylinders, your exposure suit and your lead.

The upper part of the wing is reinforced, intended as extra protection in tight restrictions in caves and wrecks. The dump valve sits in the centre, so you can vent with your left or right hand without rolling onto your side. That is useful when you carry several cylinders.

TEC or TEC RB?

The set comes in two versions. The standard TEC has a single bladder. The TEC RB adds a second, full bladder with another 19 kg of lift, its own K-type inflator and its own dump valve, so you effectively carry two complete wings in one. This redundancy matters most on decompression dives, because a problem with the main bladder still leaves you a second source of buoyancy.

Harness and weight system

The TEC wing is fixed to the STEALTH 2.0 harness. The harness comes in one universal size that you adjust to your own body: shoulder straps, hip belt and crotch strap adjust independently of each other, at several points. If you want to release the shoulder straps quickly, a quick release option is available. The hip belt is stiff and carries sliding D-rings, while the shoulder straps are softer.

The set includes a central weight pocket that you can move up or down to fine tune your trim. You choose one of four sizes: S for 2x1.5 kg, M for 4x1.5 kg, D for 8x1.5 kg or W for 4x2.5 kg. The weight system is modular: jettisonable weight pockets and a butt plate are optional. According to XDEEP, the full modular system with optional pockets holds up to 25 kg.

What is included?

You receive the STEALTH 2.0 harness with central weight pocket, the TEC wing (or TEC RB wing) already mounted on the harness, a light battery mounting kit and the user manual.

Available colours

You can order the Stealth 2.0 TEC set in one of twelve colours: black, blue, red, lemon green, white, yellow, camouflage, light grey, dark grey, lavender, pink or sea. That lets you match the set to your own taste or make it easy to recognise among your buddies' equipment.

Classic, REC or TEC?

Within the Stealth 2.0 family, the TEC is the set with the most lift. The Stealth 2.0 Classic offers 16 kg of lift and a wing mounted independently from the harness, so you can reposition it during the dive or remove it for very tight caves. With 13 kg of lift, the Stealth 2.0 REC is the most compact of the three and comes with quick release buckles as standard, which suits recreational sidemount diving. The TEC is the one to choose when lift for stages and steel cylinders is the deciding factor.

Frequently asked questions about the Stealth 2.0 TEC

How many cylinders can the Stealth 2.0 TEC carry?

Besides your main cylinders, you can carry multiple stages or decompression cylinders. How many you actually take depends on your dive plan, your training level and the type of cylinders: steel cylinders need more lift than aluminium. Always try a new configuration in confined water first.

Which central weight pocket size do I need?

That depends on how much lead you want to carry centrally. If you dive in a drysuit or with aluminium cylinders that become lighter during the dive, you usually need more lead and are more likely to end up with D or W. With a thinner wetsuit and steel cylinders, S or M is often enough. Anything that does not fit in the central pocket can go into optional jettisonable pockets.

Can I fit a different Stealth 2.0 wing on the same harness later?

Yes. The Classic, REC and TEC wings all fit the same STEALTH 2.0 harness. You keep your harness and weight system and only swap the wing when the type of diving you do changes.

Do I need a butt plate with the Stealth 2.0 TEC?

No, the butt plate is optional. It is intended for use with steel cylinders. We mainly recommend it for larger divers, because it gives them extra comfort.
