RAID Advanced 35: Advanced Open Water Course

Course Objective
The RAID Advanced 35 course is ideal for divers looking to expand their skills and knowledge. This program trains you to dive safely within no-decompression limits to a maximum depth of 35 meters, providing a solid foundation for more advanced diving experiences.

The course consists of two key components: theory and practical training.

Theory Section
The theoretical part of the course provides an in-depth understanding of various diving aspects. This section can be completed independently before starting the practical training. Upon enrollment, you will have 6 months of access to interactive e-learning modules, review questions, and the final exam.

The course covers the following topics through 9 comprehensive PDF manuals:

  • Basic diving principles
  • The diving environment and environmental protection
  • Dive equipment and usage
  • Physics and its effects on diving
  • Physiology and underwater safety
  • Dive management and planning
  • Rescue procedures
  • Confined water training
  • Open water training

The extensive content makes this theory ideal for deepening your knowledge, even if you do not immediately proceed with the practical component.

Practical Section
During the practical training, you will work with an experienced RAID instructor to apply the necessary skills in real-world scenarios. The practical training includes:

  • Confined water: At least 1 hour of training to perfect techniques in a controlled environment.
  • Open water: A minimum of 4 hours of underwater training spread over 6 dives.
Sidemount Academy plans for 8 dives for this course.

Certification
Upon successfully completing both the theory and practical sections, you will receive:

  • An internationally recognized Advanced 35 certification
  • Access to an online dive logbook
  • A digital or physical (E- or C-) certification card
  • Lifetime access to the course materials

Requirements
To participate in the practical training, you must meet the following conditions:

  • Be at least 15 years old
  • Complete the Advanced 35 theory, quizzes, and final exam
  • Hold an Open Water Diver or Explorer 30 certification, or an equivalent qualification from another recognized organization

All required documentation must be submitted to our dive center before starting the practical training.
