Why Choose the Divemaster Course?

If you are passionate about diving and want to share it with others, or if you dream of a career that allows you to travel the world with a professional qualification, the RAID Divemaster Course is a perfect choice. This training not only serves as a gateway to a professional diving career but also offers the opportunity to inspire and guide others on their diving journeys.

Requirements

To participate in this course, you must meet certain basic prerequisites. Contact your RAID instructor or dive center for the full details, but the following list provides an indication of what is required:

  • Open Water 20
  • Nitrox
  • Advanced 35
  • Deep 40
  • First Aid and CPR

RAID sets higher training standards than most other diving organizations. This doesn’t mean our training is harder, but it is more comprehensive, which ensures our students typically become better divers. For those transitioning from other training agencies, additional training may often be required to meet our standards—for example, documented experience in deeper dives and excellent buoyancy control.
